Escambia County Noise Ordinance

ESCAMBIA COUNTY   --  Commissioners continue to discuss and debate the Escambia County Noise Ordinance.

In a meeting this week, the commission recommended changing the exisiting rules for the bulk of the county, while leaving in place the regulations for Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key.

Will Kennedy went to a neighborhood where noise from a nearby ballpark has some residents annoyed.

Noise can be a tricky issue for neighborhoods.
Often times neighbors have disagreements about the sounds  in Escambia County. Many times neighbors have disagreements about those sounds coming from that house next door or from nearby businesses.

The question in Escambia County right now is Exactly what is too loud?
Once quiet neighborhoods are changing and many feel the county noise ordinance needs to change with the times.

Bill Stokes and his wife moved into their home off Bauer Road in West Pensacola next door to the new county Southwest Sports Complex.
